Install solar-energy roof panels atop the White House to supply all electrical energy the WH uses (and give some back to the grid). Convert WH limos/cars to plug-in hybrids, to show the rest of us the way. This is a no-brainer: Some solar company/association would do it for free for the publicity (the real point, of course). Ditto the car company you choose to donate the electric vehicles. You'll have to show some backbone re bucking the auto/oil interests, who will oppose it. CAN YOU????

1. Govt Subsidies for solar & wind power. Cancel tax cuts to the rich & reduce the military budget for the money to do it. This will create new industries and jobs and add jobs to the existing companies in these fields.2. Require all cars to achieve 40mpg by 20183. Require fluorescent light bulbs in all public bldgs & encourage citizens to switch.
Tax gasoline even more and use the proceeds to give tax deuctions for energy-efficient homes and commercial buildings. Eliminate Bush's 100% tax deduction for SUVs. The most fuel efficient cars should be fully deductible, not SUVs.
