Free Trade

On Day One, the President should announce that the United States will begin the biggest anti-poverty program in world history by lowering all trade barriers, giving the poorest people in the world a chance to find their comparative advantages in order to participate in the world economy.

Put The Government In The Hands Of The People, Not The Corporations

Take down the military-industrial complex. Stop relying on contractors and third parties to do the work of the government and military. Offer the employees working for these companies a better deal, at the same time restoring pride in working for and being part of the government of the United States. Reduce the bureaucracy that hinders gov't employees from doing their jobs, and focus on getting the best people to make our country safe, and our nation thriving.

Agrarian Practices

Our foolish rush to ethanol is seeing the encreased demise of old growth forest upon the globe. While I advocate the usage of Industrial Hemp for our paper and wood product usage, there is another alternative. Bamboo, with varieties that can be grown at 50 degrees latitude is an excellent plant for eco usage. The carbon sequesterian abilites and range of this plant is almost as universal as Hemp itself. I call for the Secretary of Agriculture, to launch a study in the benefits of Bamboo.

Money From GOV. Stimulus plan will be wasted by many mid income class people--It should give to more needy disabled people.

Help--people on disablity income need money that won't be taken out of our monthly checks. Why give money to people making sufficient money to live on--with the current money being talked about in the STIMULUS PLAN--they may just go to Vegas, or some other exotic vacation--that does not pump money into the economy. Disabled people will buy clothing, or furniture, or products needed to survive. Everytime I see a Diamond commercial on TV. I gag thinking how extravagant a purchase that is. HELP
