We need a national policy

We need a national policy whereby we in the United States take our big share of responsibility for saving the climate and for energy conservation. We need conservation laws. We need to enforce the environmental protections that have been enacted in the past instead of taking away all the protections. We need a national effort in which we take the lead, instead of being the shameful consumers we are now. We need to educate everyone by means of public announcements and videos on television. W

It's not too late to do

It's not too late to do something about global warming. We are probably the top nation of environmental abusers. It is going to affect every country in the world. It is common knowledge the ice caps are melting stranding the polar bear's young from their mothers. We have the technology now to start making a major impact on global warming. Our automakers need to produce more fuel-efficient cars, more people need to recycle as many are still throwing their bottles, cans, and paper in the regular w

The first thing that needs to

The first thing that needs to be done is for the corporations to stop being greedy. One of the reasons no one wants to let go of oil and other environmental hazards is money hungry people. We desperately need to go to windpower, solarpower and other renewable resources that I know we have the technology for, but people are sitting on because of pure greed! Some people may deter from it because of the looks of windpower, butwe need to get past vanity and on to helping our precious environment!

It is time to recognize that

It is time to recognize that Arnold Swartzenegger is correct. Truly fiscally conservative individuals are environmental sensitive. Only a fiscally liberal individual ignores environmental concerns. President Bush by catering to corporations in regards to the environment has been quite fiscally liberal. What our nation has lacked is leadership in implementing new technologies to lower carbon emmissions. All we have gotten is lip service. Our federal government has failed to use its purchasing pow

Change U.S. priorities from

Change U.S. priorities from war/destruction to collaboration and focus on renewable energy technology. From an economic standpoint, green jobs can't be outsourced by their very nature. Focus on quality education that includes environmental education starting in preschool (hopefully, it will begin in the home); the economically poor (mostly women and children) suffer the most from climate change; the reality is, humans will become extinct by our own hand if we do not make new choices.
