We need a strong defensive

We need a strong defensive military, but we make the world less stable and safe by continuing to stockpile nuclear weapons. Our best bet for lasting peace is to secure strong, long-term nuclear non-proliferation agreements among all nations and spread good will around the world by helping people less well off than ourselves in dramatic and concrete ways.

See Space4Peace.org Bruce Gagnon formerly worked for the govt. but left to promote peace and non-proliferation in space. Pls. support his organization and philosophy. NO NUKES on earth or IN SPACE. Dr. Stephen Greer in his book on disclosure mentions that any planet that has nuclear energy must learn peaceful coexistence or nuclear war could be fatal to the inhabitants of that planet. Some other worlds have already been destroyed by nuclear energy, so pls. heed the warning.

It is time to begin ridding

It is time to begin ridding the world of nuclear weapons, not planning new designs. If the we want nuclear proliferation to end. we need to take a leadership role in removing them, persuading out allies like Israel and the UK to do the same instead of planning to use them against countries which lack them.

This is real simple. If world

This is real simple. If world leaders don't aggressively pursue nuclear nonproliferation and make that happen soon, we humans, as well as all other life forms, can kiss our sweet nuclear-glowing asses GOODBYE! Because not so much as if but more as when, that I fear the most, a nuclear conflict starts and ends, there will be NO SUSTAINABLE environment left to live in for thousands of years to come. And all the religion in the world won't fix that one.

Each and all the ideas in the

Each and all the ideas in the petition for reducing the threat of nuclear proliferation are excellent and ought to be enacted. However, American policy with other nations must cease to be aggressive. It should not become passive or subservient, but we must stop bullying others for our advantage. Even in prehistory, shaking sticks and throwing stones never caused a group of humans to back down for long; instead they found bigger sticks and stones to threaten the aggressors. Americans need to

The United States has been in

The United States has been in the business of mass producing and stock piling nuclear weapons since the start of the cold war. This country has also been involved in nuclear disarmament talks and nuclear non-proliferation talks many times in the past and has signed a number of treatys on both issues. Since we are the sole super power in existence at this time (the Soviet Union went defunct in the late 80's) and since we already have multiple thousands of nuclear warheads and weapons stockpiled
