Drop the Language of 'the War on Terror'

I agree. Not nearly all Muslims are bad. Too often terrorist and the term Muslim or Islamic go hand in hand. What a shame since there are many good people out there getting a bad name because of the thought that all are bad.

We need to drop the word WAR from our languaging because it inherently implies conflict, and the entire purpose of our lives on this planet will only change when we eliminate conflict. At ALL TIMES and in ALL situations we MUST focus on PEACE. If we must have a rallying cry, then it should be something along the lines of "Building Multi-National Peace Processes." As long as War is in our language, the energetic vibration of War will accompany ALL that we do.

We needto exress our connection with, and our concern with the rest ofthe world. WE ARE FRIENDS.

I agree totally with this commentary that we really do need to drop the language of "War on Terror". This has great psychological effects on people to create a feeling of fear that brings on more stress and anxiety and with this kind of mind-set, war will only continue instead of come to an end.
We need to build a body of peace not warring bodies for a body of peace has stronger influence to bring about change in all humans much better than war does.

Even a mouse will fight back when cornered; Many small nations feel cornered by the U.S. hegemony and mililtary attempt at pax Americana. Osama has said he resents our military establishements on what he considers holy ground. We need to listen. If we have atomic weapons and have used them, what right have we to tell other nations that they may not do so? Our first move must be to remove many our our foreign bases, scrap the idea of a missle defense, use the money instead to promote prosperity, population control(free contracetives and information) , help education world wide. We would then again aquire the world wide reputation for good that I experienced as a boy growing up in S. Africa.

Let's just all get down on our knees and thank Sweet Jesus that somehow we're just all gonna get together (my Mom can make the potato salad) hold hands and sing the Coke song. In the meantime, I hope we are going after every Taliban and/or Al Qaeda style movement everywhere in the world. You are right that this war isn't about Islam. It never has been. It's about freedom of religion or freedom from religion but primarily about freedom. On "Day One" my idea is to continue to fight those who deny freedom and use force to suppress others.

It is imperative that the new administration gives up the language and rhetoric of war. The "war on drugs" in the 1980's was equally as futile. If there is no achievable military objective, no identifiable "enemy", then creating these out of ghosts in an effort to pursue other political objectives only creates confusion, fear and more room for rolling back civil rights. The US needs to realise just how much moral high ground has been lost in the years since 9/11 and start listening to the diplomatic voices of the world. The world leader that once was, no longer is. CO-operation is essential, and that means something other than seeking co-operation on goals which have been set by the US alone. It means identifying goals in dialogue and that can only be done outside of the war rhetoric.

After the september 11/2001 about 300people death,United Nations security council adopted reolution 1373 of september 28,2001.The international communities,regional organisation in peace building and international security maintenance became turmoild and people allover the world were able to ask many questions such as;
(a) How can Democratic Nations respond to war waged not by an enemy nation but cells in many parts of world?
(b) American new war against terrorist is much more difficult than the one against Nazi Germany and Japanese warloard in 1941?many forgetten that terorist is threat to the maintenance of international peace and security and who should be responsible for international and global security?.Its true its complex dynamic,expensive and logistically difficult operation.
(c)How can we recognised the military band police so that it can respond swifty and effectively against small targets?
(d) Is it constitutional to try and captured terrorist in military tribunal or international criminal court?
(e)Should America invade Nations that support terrorists?In years ahead these questions will raise propond challenges for American democracy.

APPROACHES AND STRATEGIES

-There is need to build consencus with the military and all sectors of diplomatic missions to recognised that peace is critical for all man kind.
-An immediate control of the borders and migration system beome crusial.
Us experts committe on counter Terrorisms to conduct fresh trainging of country and partners military any goverment security forces.
-Adopt constitution review and declaration of the new approached agreed by the panel with concrete agreement passed by the congress.
-Immediate mapping of the terrorists places and plans is an important step that requres all countries to cooperate in information sharing.
-The need to strnghten all countries banking institutions with regional and international cooperation about financial flow system.

The next question is who should be trained in Un counter terrorism strategy?Its cross secoral approach ranging from clear military,police,guards and heads of public institutions,medical officials withi given time frame.

I do agreed with the team that there is need to commit financial resources to safe guards lives of people in the world,the Un congress to approach the presidentail budget Bill for the Next 5years strategy in this 21st centuary of global peace project of UNited states of Amican and other partners in maitenance of international peace and security.
