The FIRST thing the new
The FIRST thing the new president should do is enforce the anti-pollution laws and never again make clean air and clean water standards voluntary for industrial polluters. The EPA should make peace with Governor Schwartzenegger and let him enforce his tougher vehicle emission standards in California. Tougher standards should be adopted and enforced for the rest of the country, too, and a national standard implemented, with TEETH in it. Auto makers should be given time to retool, and federal hel
