Banish nuclear weapons - forever!
Disarm and dismantle all nuclear weapons. Yes, unilaterally! Lead an aggressive diplomacy effort to bring about global disarmament of nuclear weapons. This means we stop being the world's greatest terrorist, and lead the world by example in how to make peace, not war. The world is not safe from annihilation as long as nuclear weapons exist. This ban should also apply to depleted uranium munitions: use of depleted uranium must be banned. We must stop poisoning Iraq and the world with DU!
G~d help us with all these cutting edge swords of knowledge and power. Build wind and wave power as plowshare option...it will make our leaders less desperate in face of futures markets (oil, nukes)
Build economy and impulse power as option.
Find the lost, angry, wealthy or organized doomsday people with means, motive, and opportunity. Be parents and contain weapons disorganized and chaotic kids might want to use.
Consider tv and worldwide Nagasaki website, memorial, and books. To scare and educate.
Of course we want to live in a world free of nuclear weapons-- but it's downright luddite to expect the future to be free of nuclear power.
The only thing that is holding back the Iranian strike against Israel is the knowledge that Israel can nuke them back. The old concept of MAD does have some validity.
