U.N. Renewal

U.N. Renewal

"On day 1" the next president should catch-up our debt to the U.N. and ask that the majority of that debt be used to help ease human suffering in Darfur. Next the incoming administration should ask the U.N. to place peacekeeping forces into the political turmoil that is Iraq. The forces should remain in Iraq at least as long as it takes the U.S. to remove its own troops. Additionally, the incoming president should do all he/she can do to assist and support the U.N. with climate change issues.

I think that before we pay up our UN dues, some major questions need to be answered, like why are China, Cuba, Zimbabwe and Sudan on the Human Rights Committee? It seems like the foxes have overtaken the henhouse.

Catch up our debt to the UN? What debt? What have they done for the US lately? Ever? Cuba and the Sudan on the human rights commission? And you want to pay them for that? They get free rent, on prime real estate. Thats enough. They shoud be paying us to stay here.

Move the whole fricken organization to a 3rd world country and see how fast they want the USA to be their friend! No limousines, gourmet restaurants, clean running water. That'll teach 'em.

BTW: The UN refused to aid us in Iraq and so we went in with a few friends. The UN "peacekeeping" forces sat idly by and watched Hizballah bring rockets into Lebanon for use against Israel AND neither the Chinese or the Russians want troops in Darfur because Sudan sells them oil at a favorable rate. Additionally, we can affect climate change for the better if we could build a few nuclear power plants. France gets 80% of it's electricity from nukes.
