No Child Left Behind (in global awareness skills)

Improve the level of global education among every single US student! Everyone should be able to ID countries on a map and know basic and accurate information about other cultures, global institutions and current global affairs.

Be very careful with this idea that EVERYONE should be able to ID other countries on a map. That's a
very simplistic, recall type of learning that doesn't really "educate" anyone. Teaching about other cultures, i.e. how and WHY other peoples live, work, play, pray, etc. IN A BALANCED AND OBJECTIVE WAY will be much more worthwhile than simply pointing out countries on a map.

I believe this is very important for our children to understand other countries and to be able to make understand all the differences and similarities of different countries. This makes a good foundation for caring adults who may help to make earth a better place.

I agree. Also Americans should learn about American Interests: US corporations taking over foreign industries, resources, utlilties, markets, labor, resources, housing and real estate, making them unaffordable to most of the people in those countries, and how US military is misused to knock down public resistance.
