On day one, I would want the President to:
1. call all major players in the middle east to a three day "engagement conference". The focus: stability in Iraq.
2. Bring the govt in Sudan to account via a new UN resolution authorizing the use of an international force if direct steps are not taken to halt the slaughter.
3. Re-engage the international community on the Kyoto Treaty
4. Authorize a complete audit and analysis of that state of security of our port system and major infrastructure.
The next President needs to get serious about the genocide in Darfur. The janjaweed are happy to pretend to be cooperating with the international community while simply stalling for time. Stop them now!
