MediCare for all: Open up the Federal health insurance system, MediCare and the VA for everyone to use. It should be free, like other modern countries.

As it is right now, Medicare is totally inadequate as an insurance program. It doesn't provide dental coverage or vision coverage. When I had CNP (categorically needy person) Medicaid, it covered those things and more. It gave me a sense of independence that I no longer have. My total family income is still under $2,000 a month. In today's economic times, $2,000 is small change, for a family of four. We need a better program than Medicare.

End the war, immediately. Plan to end poverty in your first term. Bring back windfall profit taxes. Limit CEO and upper management. Don't give the auto industry a penny with out a requirement of 50 mph mileage and reduced emissions. Don't let Medicare reduce doctor's payment by another 25% next year. Our doctors are leaving the Medicare system when we need them the most. Take high fructose corn syrup out of our food by 2010. Support the troops by caring for them at home, medical, families.

My agenda is that I'm being held hostage by Medicaid and Medicare. I worked for many years and paid into the system. I'm not traveling from state-to-state having babies, I wasn't on drugs and I'm not an alcoholic neither am I a criminal. I was disabled by Multiple Sclerosis more than 7 years ago and not only do criminals and convicts have more rights and better health care in prisons that my son and I and it is not fair at all. This issue is important to me.
