There are two major rivers in the us with thousands of miles of constant running water. if each home along these rivers had a small paddle generator in the same since as a solar panel on a house they could power these homes and excess could be sold back to the grid. If you take it a step farther theses generators could be put all along the rivers on both sides. They could be mass produced and are far cheeper and more reliable than solar and wind systems now avaliable.

Encourage the DOT to allow windmills along our highways. This will be close to existing power transmission lines and will be in an already "visually compromised" area.

Install solar-energy roof panels atop the White House to supply all electrical energy the WH uses (and give some back to the grid). Convert WH limos/cars to plug-in hybrids, to show the rest of us the way. This is a no-brainer: Some solar company/association would do it for free for the publicity (the real point, of course). Ditto the car company you choose to donate the electric vehicles. You'll have to show some backbone re bucking the auto/oil interests, who will oppose it. CAN YOU????
