Every new home and building constructed in the USA should have as many photovoltaic panels as possible, or at least enough to provide for the daytime needs of the building.

OD1, stop calling Nuclear Energy a "Clean" source of energy. It may not emit C02, but nuclear waste are some of the most toxic materials ever created. Its long terms effects on the world are not mitigated by a lack of greenhouse emissions. To reduce the effects of climate change (and rising cancer rates), our next president must stop call nuclear a "clean" power source. I doubt the people of Nevada consider nuclear energy a clean alternative to coal. Hydorelectricity... there's clean power!

Wind power isn't very effective, even off the coast of Nantucket. That is, unless you put your turbines in the upper atmosphere. Why aren't we flying power-generating kites? Technology, vision, you name it. We need R&D here. On Day One, I want to be flying a kite that will recharge my iPod. Ben Franklin would dig it.
