My idea for the next president On Day One is to install a green roof, with solar panels around the edges, on the White House. This would get us started on solving our environmental problems by leading by example.

Couldn't America's farmland be interspersed with wind turbines? This might help to lower cost within farming communities - and they might end up with a net gain in energy. If every household is paying $100 a month for the war - couldn't that pay for solar panels on every roof especially in the warmer southern states? Why are people working on fuel technology in their garages? Shouldn't the government give support to anyone with a viable idea – to speed its entry into the market?

Every new home and building constructed in the USA should have as many photovoltaic panels as possible, or at least enough to provide for the daytime needs of the building.
