I think the biggest tragedy the GOP has perpetrated besides abandoning "pay as you go" principle was cutting off funding for family planning to poor people in Africa and other poor countries because they are so worried about the insignificant life of stem cells or even early term fetuses. The basic world problem is really overpopulation. We all live in the same house and our earth is going to be more and more miserably hot very soon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
