On the day of his inauguration, a President Obama will need to reach out to the American people, tell them what his agenda for his first 100 days is, and enlist their support in making sure it is passed -- particularly his health care plan. The next president has a real opportunity to launch the first true "network presidency," in which millions of Americans can join a president who works to uphold their will.
Instead of wasting billions of money on creating a more hostile world and sentiment towards us, we can use it for the needy in Darfur, education in the USA, healthcare reform, welfare, the working class, etc. How's that for an idea!
Affordable healthcare for all without going bankrupt paying for it, bring back the jobs from China, so that we can all work and even help the economy by doing so! We need "Balanced" free trade! Erradicate poverty! And most importantly stop the war and bring peace to the world! With the money spent on this unnecessary war we could do the things we need to right here in this country! And look at all of the lives we would save as well as the money!
Terrorism is born in poverty, hunger, thirst, lack of medicine, lack of sanitation, lack of education, and oppression. It would behoove to take a lesson from Jesus, who understood that a person's belly must be filled before the heart can be approached. It would be a far more effective use of our resources to eliminate the sources of terrorism by building and staffing hospitals and schools, by providing clean sources of water and electricity, and creating sustainable farming and economy.
