I would like to see the next President hold a forum between various countries and the leaders of China. It would not be a bashing session, but rather, hopefully, a productive and non-biased attempt to make progress. China is economically growing stronger; there is no doubt about that, but we can help China become a better world partner in other ways. All countries can use some work in this area, but we can help the World become a better place by starting with the World's biggest population.
On Day One, the president should start a new and open foreign policy, including everything from working for peace in Israel-Palestine to lifting the embargo on Cuba, so that the entire world knows that America is back and willing to work with the rest of the world in tackling international problems that we can't possibly tackle on our own.
On Day One, the next president should do two things: 1. Rebuild the trust, confidence, and respect that people all over the world have traditionally had for America and its role in the world; and 2. Address the problems that the growing lack of clean drinking water will pose for people all over the world.
