The next president should introduce the Responsible Plan to End the War in Iraq -- crafted by 10 aspiring Democratic representatives -- and restore some of our constitutional rights that were removed by the Patriot Act.

Repeal the Patriot Act; End the tax cuts for the wealthy; End NAFTA; Begin to end the war in Iraq and start investing in green energy and sustainable/organic agriculture.

End torture and extraordinary rendition. Close Guantanamo Bay. "End" the Patriot Act and the Military Commissions Act of 2006. Talk to other nations, and listen to their points of view; peace isn't possible without understanding and communication. Get out of Iraq. Consider the Palestinians. Save Darfur... The US government will not get respect if they don't respect the rights and wishes of others in return.

Roll back the expanded executive powers seized by the Bush Administration, restore checks and balances and the rule of law.
