The next president should focus on processes, systems, and procedures. Unless we have systems that are enabled to facilitate both decision-making and implementation, and in particular, systems to assist citizens in connecting their lines of opinion and motivation with their leaders.

We went into Iraq as a preimptive strike and made a mess so on day one we need to put pressure on their government to come up with some goals and start giving them more and more responsibility for their government while we start pulling out. We need to start working with people in the Middle East and rebuilding relations there so I think a meeting with their leaders is a good idea.
