Bring our Rail System into the 21ST Century like they have in Europe, Japan or South Korea. FDR built roads and put millions to work, your can do the same with a new fast rail system with hubs, trucks used to move products in their sectors limiting trucks having to travel across the U. S. My first assignment for the next President is to be a peace candidate. His platform has to start with peace -- including getting out of Iraq. We also have to have a serious, forward-reaching platform for energy reform that addresses global warming, because the rest of the issues are all connected to that.

Global warming is being relegated to the economy, the war, even to petty bickering during debates. Climate change will affect every other major issue, most likely making things worse. Address the problems now and through innovation green technologies can accelerate the economy in a safe way while creating consensus with all the countries that signed the Kyoto Protocol. Meanwhile, a shift in world dependence on oil will be a basis for ending wars such as Iraq.
