STOP MINGLING IN OTHER PLACES AND WORRY ABOUT WHAT HAPPENS AT HOME! Using soft politics for a change could work, the USA, for more than 70 years has interfered in places where they are not invited or required.
TRADE NOT AID with third world countries. (and I mean fair trade)
Signing the Kyoto Protocol is of essence! Why should the USA continue polluting? when the rest of the world has agreed to reduce it's carbon emissions!
Better control the arm sales to undemocratic countries. This would help the people in those countries fight an unwanted regime and gain freedom. Democracy is the key.
The next step would be doing what needs to be done about the state of Planet Earth.
Submit the Kyoto Protocol for ratification by Congress.
There are outstanding concerns, such as the participation of countries like China, but it is a step in the right direction.
720 American cities and the entire state of California have already made a commitment to Kyoto. At this point, it is the least a national leader can do.
