Re-contextualize the War on Terror

President Bush insists that "everything changed on 9/11". Perhaps many people, like him, had been ignorant of the problematic, interconnected world we exist in prior to those terrible attacks-- but a lot has happened since then. Attaining peace in such volatile circumstances-- and regaining our foothold as a leader among nations in the realms of religious tolerance, human rights, and meaningful conflict resolution-- will require a thorough re-framing of our task.
