To critique, challenge and raise awareness re: mainstream/popular psychology, psychiatry and social work as these systems seek to profit and control through the use of the DSM, prescriptions, psychological assessments, and "evidenced-based" therapies, rather then help.

President Obama, I work closely with the substance abuse recovery community. The largest obstacles I come upon most often is the exoberent use (misuse ) of methadone. Methadone does not get people off drugs, and actually can keep them in addictive behaviors and ruins their chance for real recovery.I question the drug maker's profit motives. People are prescribed methadone with out any screening, you can get it even after your detox from heroin. Also, mental health drugs are overly prescribed.

Education should still mean better jobs. I have a BA and am a cashier at Wal-Mart. We should place U.S Marshalls, armed secretly, on airplanes. If necessary, get our troops out and bomb IRAQ? Drastic, yes. The govt. needs to regulate monopolies and Pharmaceuticals. They dont need to be that rich. We should keep the right to bear arms to defend ourselves. And save the planet. The weather is wild because of g. warming. Health care should be affordable

Fearful from not being loved, I was committed to dehumanizing psychiatry. Reeling from my head injury, I escaped after four electric shocks. Now suicidal and homicidal, I was drugged. Periodic suicidal and homicidal psychiatric-drug rages. An emergency room nurse said, "Go to 12-Step Anonymous Program." Love and truth, a "We" crash course in growing up. It only took me six months to go from fear/flight arrested development child to non-violent adult. After 31 years I escaped psychiatry alive!
