Put people back to work creating the infrastructure for distribution of clean renewables. Set up research to bring down the cost of photovoltaics; pull technology off the shelf that is currently unavailable due to predation by competing dirty companies; provide credit incentives to make it affordable to retrofit homes to be sustainable and self sufficient. Build renewables for export.

We need a new economy with new ideas and technologies. Instead of bailing out bankers, our tax dollars should be invested in education, scientifically sound experimentation and practical application of renewable energy. We need to repair our infrastructure. Let's do it in a sustainable and enduring manner. Let's put people to work in this country at a living wage and set a fine example for the rest of the world. Democracy thrives where the people are well-fed, healthy, educated and involved.

Please devote yourself to immediate and substantial support and investment in renewable/sustainable production of energy, foods, manufactured goods, building technologies, etc. This will boost the economy, provide jobs, and help the global environment simultaneously.

Progressive Growth The American Dream has been a story of progressive policy establishing conditions in which individuals have been able to seize opportunities and make a better life for themselves, their children, their families, and their communities. It can be so again. The ladder of economic mobility can be rebuilt with the right leadership and progressive policy.
