Invest in low-tech solutions first: efficient windows and insulation for residential houses. (Nuclear energy is and always was an expensive boondoggle.) Re-build our long-neglected rail network. Think of this as a JOB-CREATION program, which it really is. Biofuels are a good remedy for the interim, while we slowly wean ourselves from total automobile dependence and enter an age of more mixed transport, ultimately with hydrogen cars. Start by demanding that all

Start by demanding that all cars in the USA operate by giving at least 50 miles per gallon. Demand all industries clean up their operations immediately and reduce all carbon emissions by 50% in 2009. Follow that by making all oil drilling stop, all coal drilling stop, and the companies use their money to help invent new forms of energy and leave our land alone. Next demand that all animals have a right to be here as much as humans and they are to be protected from predators. In other words out
