An important factor animals face from Global warming is not being addressed which is: With things becoming warmer - those animals who hibernate come out of torpor sooner than expected - leaving them with a diminished food supplies, and facing the threat of starvation (especially in cases of animals who conceive while "sleeping" such as some bears, and others). Our love of fossil fuels has far more dire consequences than imagined. I continue to have ire about the entire subject!
Note: Careful analysis is needed. For instance, a recent report indicates production of bio-fuels takes food resources away from the world and that causes rain forests to be burned to create agricultural land. The result, if left unaddressed, is many times more carbon released into the atmosphere and loss of CO2 absorbing rainforest.
