We need a 21st Century system of energy production. That means using safe and proven nuclear technologies, developing advanced pebble-bed reactor technologies, and recycling spent fuel to reduce the amount of radioactive material left behind. Cutting back on emissions doesn't mean making drastic sacrifices, but having a willingness to embrace new technologies and get over old fears. Nuclear energy gives us the power we need while minimizing the harm to our environment.
