Overpopulation

The number 1 problem to all the world's problem is overpopulation and people are ignorant of it. If there are less people, resources will be consumed less and in turn animal habitats and forests will be destroyed less, there will be less pollution, starving people will have food to eat, climate change will be less severe. The only solution is to promote people to stop breeding, along with contraception. People need education to evolve their minds.

Overpopulation

Surprisingly, overpopulation wasn't on the list. Overpopulation is the root of global climate and energy problems (more people=more waste), poverty (no jobs), and terrorism (many people=many recruits). To curb population growth, women need empowerment against abusive husbands and dated customs, and education about types of humane birth control. Cooperation with the U.N. is key, as only they have the power and outreach to create a program that empowers and educates women around the globe.

No use fighting Climate Change with a growing population.

Everything to make our population more sustainable is less than a token measure when that population is still growing. www.project-canada.com/Biomass.jpg shows why. There is a finite available biomass on the earth. and humanity and the species it utilises as resources take up ever more biomass. Logically then, other species go extinct when less remains for them. Technological advancements to feed more people will only lead to the collapse of the community of life. Read Quinn's "Ishmael" and see!

New Dialogue on Population Stabilization

Someone please, hopefully Hillary or Obama, start talking about POPULATION. For a fraction of what is spent on weapons we can provide family planning help throughout the world., People want it. Now we need to have the honest courage to speak of having one or two children as a social responsibility---everywhere. The next president must set the tone for this new approach and way of discussing this. Population is incontravertibly the hushed-up root issue.
