Fight poverty and religious extremism in developing nations. Make US a bastion of economic equality and secularism.

On Day One the next president should do three things: 1.) Begin to extricate troops from Iraq and allow displaced Iraqis to go home; 2.) Immediately begin an international effort to achieve peace in the Middle East; and 3.) Launch a multilateral partnership to address war, terrorism and poverty. Maybe that sounds like too lofty a goal but I believe at least food, shelter, medicine and clothing should be basic human rights. Also, it is impossible for many to get by on Social Security Income. I think the next President should focus on ending poverty which was Edwards' goal, not only in America but the world over. Address the food crisis going on, especially in the developing and poorer countries, address skyrocketing gas prices, alternative uses for transportaiton instead of oil, conservation funding for animals, habitats, cleaner air and water, STOP MAKING MORE NUCLEAR WEAPONS AND POWER PLANTS, GET US OUT OF IRAQ, REAL ESTATE, ADDRESS OUR ECONOMY ABOVE ALL THINGS.
