Say, you've been elected the US Prsident, a Democrat. You (and evey other presidential candidate) promised to unite the nation. How could you do that if you are a Democrat, Vice President is a Democrat, the whole White House is Democratic? It's obvious - Vice President has to be Republican,the one who lost the election ! Two of you can come to agreement much faster than 500 guys in US Congress,right ? Mikhail Kryzhanovsky, Republican, might be a good Vice President, too.
