The next President should require the Federal budget comply with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) - the same rules the Feds require businesses to use - so the country can finally get a sense of the fiscal impossibility of meeting the country's budgetary commitments.
End the military occupations in Iraq and Afghanistan and use the savings from the pentagon's budget to reinvest in universal health care, free college tuition, and other forms of social spending.
I would ask the next president to reform our AIDS assistance... abstinence education doesn't work here in the United States and it does not and will not work abroad.
