Cut down on meat production and consumption by eliminating agricultural subsidies for factory farmers and encouraging vegetarian meals in schools, prisons, and other taxpayer-funded venues.
Promote and encourage a vegan/vegetarian diet:
- End subsidies and tax breaks for meat producers/distributors.
- Put more vegan/vegetarian options on taxpayer-funded menus - i.e., in schools and prisons.
- Encourage vegan/vegetarian diets by allowing those on government assistance to purchase locally-grown and organic fruits and veggies and meat substitutes such as faux meats and tofu.
- Do not allow animal agriculture companies exemptions from environmental regulations.
