Use our own resources...we have natural gas and oil. example...we use to rely on places like Oil City, Pennsylvania for oil and gas. We have plenty of resources right here in America. Try more Windmills for power. Have Corporate America change from 40 hr, 5 day work week to a 4 day work week to save on energy ...many businesses spend tons on electricity and could save by being non operational one more day a week. Bring more commuter rails to America to save on fuel.
Our steel and coal industry went to places like Korea...and now our high tech jobs go overseas every day and other jobs such as telephone, tech repair centers, call centers, newspaper ads,sales,editing, proofing etc etc are going overseas to India and other countries. Publicize these companies so all America knows who they are and what their products are and penalize them with higher taxes by giving them no tax relief and in essence, starve them out just like they have done to us.
Please do not allow people access to our social security...including those who never paid into it and those that are elderly foreigners just coming into this country and illegal immigrants. This is not a welfare system. And for those retiring early, why can't they have Medicare Benefits? Waiting two years leaves many elderly without health insurance...some have been forced to leave employment early and it does give younger persons a chance at a job but early retirees still need health insurance.
