"On day 1" the next president should catch-up our debt to the U.N. and ask that the majority of that debt be used to help ease human suffering in Darfur. Next the incoming administration should ask the U.N. to place peacekeeping forces into the political turmoil that is Iraq. The forces should remain in Iraq at least as long as it takes the U.S. to remove its own troops. Additionally, the incoming president should do all he/she can do to assist and support the U.N. with climate change issues.
